What's new: Some of you
have already met our new on-site manager,
Annie, and her family. She has been working very hard
pruning trees and bushes, and landscaping the grounds.
She will be happy to help with any problems relating to
the condo complex, like needing more propane, or a
washing machine or dryer not working.
Found a great lamp at one of the antique
/ used furniture stores over in Wailuku. Apparently it
came out of a hotel being re-done, and it has the same
fern pattern embossed on it as is in the couch fabric.

We are trying to use florescent
light bulbs where possible. In addition to
saving energy, they are not as hot as regular ones.
We replaced the bedroom carpet. We are
thinking that next time we need a new carpet in the
living room, we will install a wood or laminate floor
instead.
Some questions:
* Do you like the basket of snacks or is it too much junk
food?
* Do you think there are too many chairs in the living
room?
* Do you think we have too many books in the apartment?
Any thoughts or comments? Send us an email: halekai203

Let us know if you encounter problems while staying in
203. For example, the solar powered vent fan in the half
bath was making a racket, which we did not realize until
we got here. (It is fixed now.)
We have decided the best place to get an orchid, if you
would like to have one to keep you company during your
stay, is across the street at the farmers market. The
flower lady gives great advice about keeping them alive
and happy, and she has good prices.
As always, our thanks to all who have taken the time to
get in touch with us. We appreciate your time and
interest.
